Krista Viau obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nutritional Science and doctoral degree in Public Health. She practiced as a metabolic dietitian for over 10 years at the University of Utah and Boston Children's Hospital. During this time, she was a co-investigator on industry-sponsored clinical trials and conducted research on the natural history of IEM and nutritional status of adults with PKU being treated with pegvaliase. In her current role, Dr. Viau is a senior nutrition reviewer evaluating the nutritional adequacy and safety of infant formulas and medical foods.
