GMDI is proud to announce our virtual GMDI 2021 Conference taking place
April 28-May 1, 2021. As part of the conference, we will be able to offer virtual posters highlighting case studies, successful educational tools, development
of new services and clinics, public policy efforts, and current research in the nutritional management of inborn errors of metabolism.
Abstracts may be submitted (in English) describing new work and research relevant to inborn errors of metabolism. Four abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. Oral presentations will be recorded and made available to the conference audience on an on-demand basis during the conference. Other accepted abstracts will be available as poster presentation files on the conference platform.
Abstract submission deadline: January 31, 2021
We will inform you if your poster has been accepted by March 1, 2021
Instructions for Preparing Abstracts
The following information will be required when submitting your abstract online

Abstract Title (limit title to 25 words)
Author(s) - last name followed by initials as in: Snow AB, Ice CD, Heat EF and Warm GH
Text: 250 words or less, single-spaced, no tables or figures in the abstract. Include objective(s), methods, results, discussion and conclusion
Funding Disclosure(s)
Abstracts must be submitted online.
Abstract selection procedure
All abstracts will be reviewed by the GMDI Research Committee. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified via e-mail by March 1, 2021. Four abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. Oral presentations will be pre-recorded and presented as part of the conference program. Please note that if your abstract is selected for oral presentation you will be asked to be ready to pre-record your presentation after mid- March.
Specific instructions for either the oral presentation or poster format will be sent to you if your abstract is accepted. Authors of oral presentations will be asked to provide learning objectives.
GMDI is pleased to offer a discounted conference registration to one author of each abstract selected for oral presentation. Awardees will be notified by March 1, 2021.
