The Nutrition Management Guideline for Individuals with Very Long Chain Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency is part of a larger project undertaken by the Southeast Newborn Screening and Genetics Collaborative (SERC) (HRSA Region 3) and Genetic and Metabolic Dietitians International (GMDI) to develop nutrition management guidelines for inherited metabolic disorders (IMD). Guidelines for MSUD and PKU have been published and Guidelines for PROP will be published in the first quarter of 2017.

The guidelines are developed using an evidence analysis and consensus process. GMDI provides content expertise and SERC/Emory University provides financial support and project infrastructure. Dianne Frazier, PhD RD and Pat Splett, PhD RD are consultants to the project. Rani H. Singh, PhD, RD and Fran Rohr, MS RD are Co-principal Investigators. Funding for this project has been provided by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant number: #H46MC24090.
