Sommer Gaughan, MPH, RDN, is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, who has been in clinical practice for 23 years, with over 16 of those years focused on the field of inborn errors of metabolism at Children’s
Hospital Colorado/CU Anschutz Medical Center. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and graduate degree in Public Health focused on Health Promotion, Education and
Behavior from the University of South Carolina. She has participated in multiple peer-reviewed publications, clinical trials and the development of patient focused educational materials and programs.
She has previously served GMDI in various roles as a member of the conference planning committee and GMDI past-Secretary.
